EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern looks to continue its recent success against Minnesota when the teams square off at 8 p.m. Thursday at Welsh-Ryan Arena.
The Wildcats have won four of their last five meetings with the Golden Gophers, including posting a 77-52 victory in the first matchup between the teams this season on Jan. 9 in Minneapolis. The 25-point margin of victory was NU's largest in a Big Ten road game since a 77-20 win at Chicago Jan. 14, 1944 and its largest margin in a Big Ten game overall since a 78-47 home win over Ohio State on Jan. 25, 1997. Freshman forward Aaron Falzon hit six 3-pointers in the contest and led NU with 20 points.
