EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern will return home to face the Purdue Boilermakers Saturday night in Welsh-Ryan Arena. Tip-off is set for 8:00 p.m. on Big Ten Network.

Coming off a tough road contest against No. 14 Michigan State, the Wildcats will look to get back on track against the Boilermakers who are 4-6 in Big Ten play. Last time out, Pat Spencer led the way in scoring for the Wildcats makring the 12th time this season that he has posted double-figures.

Wednesday marks the 177th meeting between Northwestern and Purdue and the second time this season. 

Northwestern and Purdue met earlier this season (12/8/19) in each team's Big Ten opener. The Boilermakers pulled out a 58-44 win. It was the fewest points the Boilermakers had scored at Mackey Arena since 2014. Pete Nance shot 50% (6-for-12) from the field to lead NU with 14 points.


STORYLINES: 


Charity Stripe: Northwestern ranks second in the Big Ten with a 75.5 free throw percentage this season: The 75.5% free throw percentage is on pace to rank third all-time in program history for a single season.

More on Miller:  Miller Kopp is one of seven Big Ten players to have made at least 20 3-pointers in conference play. He is averaging 2.1 triples against Big Ten opponents.

2020 Vision: Since the calendar flipped to 2020, Spencer has averaged 13.9 ppg, 4.4 rpg, 4.1 apg, while shooting 50% from the field (eight games).
