Svärd Paces Wildcats at the Goodwin

PALO ALTO, California (March 28, 2026) – After 54 holes at the Stanford Golf Course, Northwestern men's golf finished the Goodwin with a share of tenth place.
The Wildcats opened their week on Thursday with a 4-over score of 284, before rebounding on Friday with a 4-under 276 in their second round. The 'Cats concluded the week with a score of 286 in their final round, giving them a 54-hole total of 846.
Daniel Svärd led the way for the 'Cats, capturing his team-leading seventh top-25 finish. The senior from Jarfalla, Sweden improved each round, going from a 1-over 71, to an even-par 70 before firing a 3-under 67 to finish tied for 19th at 2-under-par.
Two shots behind Svärd and also in red figures was Rowan Sullivan, who fired rounds of 67 and 69 in his first two rounds, but carded a 74 in his final round to finish tied for 29th at even par. Ethan Tseng finished tied for 44th, highlighted by a season-low 67 in his second round while Monty Holcombe carded an even-par 70 in his second round tied for 71st. Rounding out the starting lineup was Jeremy Chen, who carded back-to-back 75s to close his weekend.
On the individual side, Mark Gazi carded a 1-under 69 in his second round to finish tied for 50th.
