‘Cats Defeat Arkansas, Advance to NCAA Semifinals Versus Oregon

CARLSBAD, Calif. (May 20, 2025) – After winning a playoff in the final matchup, the Northwestern Wildcats have advanced to the NCAA semifinals on Tuesday afternoon. The 'Cats will face the Big Ten champion Oregon Ducks.
Lauryn Nguyen, who is celebrating her birthday, secured the win for the 'Cats with a playoff victory over Arkansas' Clarisa Temelo on the 19th hole. Two first-years, Elise Lee and Hsin Tai Lin, also won their matches, giving NU a 3-2 win over the Razorbacks, the No. 2 team in the country.
The semifinals begin at 4:05 p.m. CT. Golf Channel and the NBC Sports App will have live coverage starting at 5:00 p.m. CT. Live scoring is available via Scoreboard.
