Wildcats Ready for Fourth Consecutive NCAA Championship Finals

EVANSTON (May 21, 2026) – After a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional, Northwestern women's golf readies for their fourth consecutive NCAA Championship Finals in Carlsbad, Calif.
 
Last season, the Wildcats placed in third at the NCAA Championship Finals, advancing to match play for the third time since 2017 with a 2-over team score of 1,154 (291-285-280-298). Lauryn Nguyen took 14th place at 2-under-par while Ashley Yun (E) and Dianna Lee (+1) finished a stroke apart in 19th and 20th respectively.
 
In match play, the 'Cats would defeat Arkansas, Oregon and Stanford to secure the program's first-ever National Championship.
 
The NCAA Championship Finals kick off with 54 holes of stroke play beginning Friday. The top fifteen teams after Saturday will advance to an additional round of stroke play, with the top eight moving onto match play.
 
Babygrande Golf will be live streaming the first three rounds, with Golf Channel picking up the tournament beginning on Sunday. Live scoring will be available throughout the tournament on Scoreboard.
 
The Wildcats begin the week on Friday with a 9:25 a.m. CT tee time off of hole ten, with action getting underway on Saturday at 2:45 p.m. CT off of hole one.

Northwestern joins the remaining 29 teams who advanced from their regional, competing alongside Arizona State, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Duke, Eastern Michigan, Florida, Florida State, Houston, Iowa State, Kentucky, LSU, Michigan State, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss, Oregon State, Pepperdine, SMU, USC, Stanford, Tennessee, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Virginia and Wake Forest.
 
The Course
Northwestern returns to the par-72, 6,271-yard North Course at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa.

Last Time Out
One year removed from her runner-up finish at the NCAA Norman Regional, Ashley Yun picked up her second career collegiate victory at the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional. Yun led wire-to-wire and finished at 5-under for the week. 
 
Dianna Lee placed one stroke behind her at 4-under, concluding her week with a bogey-free 68 in her final round.
 
The 'Cats finished in fourth place to qualify for their fourth consecutive NCAA Championship Finals.
