Wildcats Prepare for Regular Season Finale at Lewis Chitengwa Memorial

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – Northwestern Men's Golf is back in action for their final regular season tournament, competing at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial Tournament on Monday (Apr. 14) and Tuesday (Apr. 15). Live scoring will be available both days on Scoreboard.
The Wildcats return to Charlottesville, Virginia for the third consecutive year, earning top-five finishes in both of their previous visits. The 'Cats most-recently tied for third place in 2024, with Ethan Tseng also finishing third on the player leaderboard.
The event will feature 36 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday. Both days will start at 7:30 a.m. CT, including a shotgun start on Monday.
The Field
The 'Cats round out a 12-team field including host-school and No. 13 Virginia, No. 11 Florida State, Arkansas, Clemson, Florida Gulf Coast, Liberty, Loyola, Maryland, North Florida, Texas State, and Toledo.

The Wildcats return to the par-71, 7,116-yard Birdwood Golf Course in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Last Time Out
Daniel Svärd claimed a share of the individual crown at The Goodwin as the Wildcats claimed third place in Stanford, California. The 'Cats finished the event at one-under-par with a team score of 839 (282-276-281).
Svärd finished the event at five-under-par with a score of 205 (67-70-68) for his highest finish of the season. The junior was named the Big Ten Golfer of the Week for his first career weekly conference honor.
Up Next
The Wildcats head to Baltimore, Maryland in defense of their team title at the Big Ten Championships, April 25-27. Svärd will look to defend his title as well, as the junior has won the previous two Big Ten Championships.
