With momentum surging from their recent dominant victory over No. 2 ranked B1G rivals, Maryland, in College Park, the Wildcats are primed for another stellar performance. Led by the dynamic duo of Izzy Scane and Madison Taylor, who each netted an impressive six goals, Northwestern delivered Maryland their most significant home defeat in decades.
On the flip side, the Buckeyes arrive with a 7-6 record, seeking redemption after a tough loss to Louisville. However, facing three consecutive road games in just nine days, the Buckeyes will round out their away stretch in Evanston.
Rewinding to their last encounter in 2023, Northwestern emerged victorious with a commanding 17-11 win in Columbus. Izzy Scane and Erin Coykendall were instrumental in that victory, each netting four goals a piece.
Currently boasting the second-highest scoring offense in the nation, Northwestern's offense is a force to be reckoned with. With Izzy Scane inching closer to the all-time NCAA goal-scoring record and Madison Taylor leading in free position goals per game, the Wildcats are a powerhouse on the offensive front.
