Northwestern Falls at No. 3 Ohio State

The 'Cats played a tough doubles point and started well in singles play, but the Buckeyes pulled away at the end of nearly all the first sets and then went on to clinch the team points quickly. The top of their lineup features three top-15 players in the ITA singles ranking.
Northwestern fell to 12-6 and 1-1 in the Big Ten while the Buckeyes improved to 17-2 and 2-0 in the conference.
Steven Forman competed stride for stride with No. 10 Cannon Kingsley in the first set at No. 1 singles, but after dropping a 7-5 tiebreak he was not able to claw back with the result on the day largely decided.
The Wildcats return home next weekend to host the two Big Ten programs from the Mitten State. Michigan State visits on Friday and No. 5 Michigan visits on Sunday.
