EVANSTON, Ill. - The Northwestern Wildcats return to the hardwood on Sunday, Feb. 9 as they travel to east to take on Rutgers at the RAC. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
The 'Cats will head into the matchup on seven days of rest after falling to Purdue in the final seconds of last Saturday's game. Sophomore Miller Kopp led the scoring for Northwestern with 15 points, the sixth time in the last seven games that he's notched at least that many.
Sunday's game will mark the 14th meeting of the two programs. Northwestern holds a 10-3 lead in the all-time series. Northwestern and Rutgers split in their meetings last season with each team winning on the road. The Wildcats are 4-1 at the RAC all-time.
STORYLINES
Charity Stripe: Miller Kopp has only missed seven free throws this season and is shooting 86.5% (45-for-52) from the line. The 86.5% clip has Kopp just outside of NU's all-time top-10 for a single season.
Last Time Out: Pat Spencer tallied shot four-of-five from the field to score 10 points to go along with seven rebounds. He has scored in double figures in 13 of NU's 21 games
