Northwestern Battles No. 8 Michigan Sunday on BTN

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern travels to Ann Arbor on Sunday to face No. 8 Michigan at 11 a.m. CT. The match will be televised nationally on Big Ten Network with Dean Linke and Chris Doran calling the action.
Chicago's Big Ten Team is coming off a 1-0 victory over UIC on Wednesday night at Martin Stdium. Midfielder Sean Lynch scored notched the game-winner, the first goal of his career, in the 87th minute when Camden Buescher sent in a free kick from 35 yards out.

Michigan has compiled a record of 4-2-2 on the campaign, including a 1-1-1 mark in Big Ten play. The Wolverines were unbeaten in their first six matches but have lost their last two, including an overtime defeat to No. 1 Michigan State (Sept. 17) and a 1-0 loss at Western Michigan on Sept. 20.
Northwestern holds an all-time record of 11-14-2 against Michigan. The last nine meetings have been split evenly, with four wins apiece and one draw.
The most recent contest between the sides came in September 2016, when NU prevailed 2-1 with a goal from Mike Roberge in the second overtime period.
Sunday's match will be the first of three straight away matches against top-eight teams for the Wildcats. After Michigan, NU will face No. 3 Maryland on Friday, Sep. 29, followed by No. 1 Notre Dame on Tuesday, Oct. 3.
