EVANSTON, Ill. --
Northwestern looks to run its winning streak to eight straight games as it faces Sacred Heart at 6 p.m. Monday on Take a Kid to the Game Day. With each adult ticket purchased on the day of the game, two children in grade 8 and under will be admitted free of charge.

A win on Monday would give Northwestern its best 12-game start to a season since 1982-83. The Wildcats opened that campaign 11-1.

The Wildcats (10-1) are coming off a 78-70 overtime victory at DePaul on Saturday. Tre Demps led the Wildcats with 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Alex Olah and Sanjay Lumpkin contributed 14 points and 7 rebounds apiece. Northwestern trailed by as many as seven in the second half and by six with under five minutes to go in regulation. Aaron Falzon knocked down a pair of clutch 3-pointers in overtime to help the 'Cats earn the victory.

Olah, a senior center, enters Monday's contest four points shy of becoming the 33rd 1,000-point scorer in school history.

Including Saturday's game, Northwestern has played six overtime games over the last two seasons. The Wildcats are 3-0 this season in contests that have needed an extra session. On Nov. 20, NU defeated Columbia 83-80 in OT at Welsh-Ryan Arena and topped Virginia Tech 81-79 Dec. 1 in Blacksburg. Northwestern has won its last five overtime games overall.

Monday's matchup features a pair of brothers squaring off. Northwestern freshman forward Aaron Falzon has appeared in all 11 games, including making eight starts. He is averaging 9.0 points and 3.6 rebounds per game while leading the team with 24 3-point field goals. Sacred Heart senior forward Tevin Falzon has started all six games he has appeared in and is averaging 8.5 points and a team-leading 7.3 rebounds per game.

Monday's matchup will be the first meeting between Northwestern and Sacred Heart. NU is 10-0 all-time against current members of the Northeast Conference. The last meeting was an 80-53 home win over Fairleigh Dickinson on Nov. 18, 2012.

Scouting Sacred Heart
The Pioneers fell to 1-8 with an 80-71 loss at Hartford last Monday. Cane Broome and Jordan Allen led Sacred Heart with 15 points apiece while Tevin Falzon grabbed 12 rebounds. Broome leads the team with an average of 18.7 points per game. The Pioneers have lost eight in a row since defeating Quinnipiac in their season-opener. Anthony Latina is in his third season as the head coach at Sacred Heart.
