Holcombe, Svärd Place Top-25 in Regular Season Finale

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (April 19, 2026) – Northwestern men's golf closed the curtain on the regular season on Sunday, placing in seventh at the Hoosier Collegiate in Bloomington, Indiana.
The Wildcats opened their week with a score of 298 in their opening round, but could not complete their second round before play was called due to darkness. The 'Cats wrapped up a 293 on Sunday morning before jumping right into the final round, where they concluded with a score of 305.
Kansas secured the team title with a 54-hole score of 872 (290-287-295) while Illinois' Freddie Turnell claimed medalist honors as an individual, finishing at 1-under-par.
First-year Monty Holcombe paced the 'Cats with his highest finish of the season, posting scores of 72 in his first two rounds before a 77 on Sunday to place in a share of 17th. Joining Holcombe in the top-25 was Daniel Svärd, who placed two shots back of the first-year tied for 22nd.
Rowan Sullivan placed in a share of 30th after a pair of matching 75s in his first and second round while Ethan Tseng fired a 74 in his second round for his low round of the week. Jeremy Chen carded a 73 in his second round for his low round of the weekend while Mark Gazi fired a 74 in his second round as an individual.
