Women’s Golf to Compete at Darius Rucker Intercollegiate on Golf Channel

EVANSTON, Ill. (Mar. 1, 2025) – Northwestern Women's Golf is back in action this week at the 13th edition of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at the Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The event runs from Monday (March 3) through Wednesday (March 5) and will showcase 12 teams ranked in the most recent Clippd rankings. Live coverage will air on Golf Channel from 1:30-4:30 p.m. CT every day of the competition.
The Wildcats begin play on Monday morning, with tee times starting at 8:20 a.m. CT. The event features three 18-hole rounds of strokeplay, with individual and team honors. The four best scores from each round contribute to the team's score.
Last year, the 'Cats finished the event just a stroke back in the team championship with a combined score of 856 (281-282-293), while Jennifer Cai claimed her first collegiate victory with a five-under-par 208 (71-68-69).

The #10 ranked Wildcats join a stacked 17-team field that includes host-school and #5 ranked South Carolina, #2 Arkansas, #7 Texas, #8 Arizona State, #9 Wake Forest, #12 Vanderbilt, #14 Mississippi State, #19 Duke, #20 Auburn, #22 LSU, #25 UCLA, Alabama, Baylor, Georgia, Kentucky, and Ohio State.

Ashley Yun led the Wildcats in scoring for the third consecutive event at the Moon Golf Invitational (event recap), as the team fired a combined score of 879 (296-297-286).
Yun carded five birdies in her final round for her second 71 of the week, placing her in a share of 17th with a score of 218 (71-76-71). Lauryn Nguyen joined her in the top-25, finishing one stroke behind her with a 219 (74-73-72).
