LINCOLN, Neb. – Northwestern women's basketball will hit the road for Nebraska on Tuesday, set for their second-to-last roadtrip of the season. The 'Cats will take on the Huskers at 8 p.m. on Big Ten Network.
The Wildcats are looking to bounce back after a road loss at Minnesota on Saturday. While they couldn't come away with the win, they had three players reach double-digit scoring. The offense was led by Caileigh Walsh and Melannie Daley, who scored 16 apiece.
Maggie Pina rounded out the trio with 11 points of her own - her second double-digit scoring performance in the last three games. Pina's three three-point makes tied a season high and made Saturday's game her fifth of the season with three made treys. She'll enter play on Tuesday shooting at team-best 46.6 percent from beyond the arch.
This will be the first and only meeting between Northwestern and Nebraska this season. The Cornhuskers have won each of the last five meetings heading into Tuesday's game, including both games last season. Northwestern will look to win in Lincoln for the first time since 2019.
Following Tuesday's matchup, the 'Cats will return home to take on Michigan in their Together We Win game on Saturday at 2 p.m.
