'Cats Continue Homestand Against No. 20 Little Rock

EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern wrestling continues dual action at home this Sunday afternoon when it takes on No. 20 Little Rock inside Welsh-Ryan Arena. First whistle between the Wildcats and Trojans is scheduled for 2 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Northwestern dominated NIU 29-8 in its home debut last Saturday, with eight of ten wrestlers posting individual wins.
Joseph Martin picked up the first dual meet victory of his career at 174 lbs, while Dedrick Navarro pocketed an upset win over No. 27 Blake West at 125 lbs.
SCOUTING LITTLE ROCK
The Trojans are off to a strong start in the 2024-25 season, with commanding victories over Central Missouri (32-6) and Nebraska-Kearney (38-10). Most recently, Little Rock had five wrestlers finish top-3 in their respective weight class at the Tiger Style Invitational, hosted by Missouri. InterMat's No. 5 ranked wrestler at 197 lbs, Stephen Little, posted a first-place finish at the event.
In the most recent rankings, the Trojans placed five wrestlers in InterMat's Top 30: No. 3 Nasir Bailey (133 lbs.), No. 23 Matthew Bianchi (157 lbs.), No. 29 Tyler Brennan (174 lbs.), No. 17 Brock DelSignore (184 lbs.), and No. 5 Little (197 lbs.).
