Wildcats Head to Ann Arbor for Decision Day Matchup

EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern travels to Ann Arbor for a matchup with Michigan and a shot at the Big Ten Regular Season Title on Sunday. Kickoff from The Mitten State is set for 11:30 a.m. CT on B1G+.

Northwestern can clinch the third Big Ten Regular Season Title in school history with a win in Ann Arbor.

Last time out, Northwestern defeated Indiana 1-0 behind a 25th minute goal from Nigel Prince, assisted by Reese Mayer.

The Wildcats are off to their best start through 15 games since 2008, when they started 12-1-2.

Northwestern's 1.80 goals per game ranks second in the Big Ten and 46th nationally.

With the goal against Indiana, Prince became the 12th different Wildcat to tally a goal this season.

Justin Weiss leads the Big Ten in Shots (44), Shots on Goal (22), Assists (7), and Points (21), and ranks second in goals (7). The Syosset, N.Y. native ranks 23rd nationally in assists (7), 27th nationally in points (21), and 51st nationally in goals (7).

Weiss is one of just five players nationally with at 7+ assists and 7+ goals (Eliot Goldthrop- Hofstra, Roberto Ordonez- Cal St. Fullerton, Matthew Bell- Marshall, Ousmane Sylla- Clemson).

Nigel Prince has logged 1,344 of 1,350 possible minutes this season (99.5%).

Northwestern has used 12 unique starting lineups across 15 games.

Michigan enters Sunday's contest with a 3-5-7 record overall and 1-1-5 record in Big Ten play. Bryce Blevins leads the Wolverines with four goals and three assists on the 2023 campaign. Isaiah Goldson handles goalkeeping duties for U-M, posting a .704 save percentage and allowing 1.52 goals per game.
