Northwestern Visits Chapel Hill For Men's ITA Kickoff Weekend

EVANSTON, Ill. – Coming off the heels of Sunday's doubleheader wins, Northwestern's men's tennis will travel down to Chapel Hill, N.C. for the ITA Kickoff Weekend.
On Saturday, Jan 29, the team will face No. 17 UNC at 11:30 a.m. CT, and the following Sunday, Northwestern will face either No. 12 Arizona State or No. 5 Ohio State.

The 'Cats are 4-1 on the season after topping Louisville 4-2 and IUPUI 4-1.
During both matches, Trice Pickens, Steven Forman, and Saiprakash Goli brought in singles wins, ultimately securing the match win.
UNC is currently 1-0 after a 7-0 win against Bucknell. Last season the Tar Heels closed out ranked No. 6 with an overall record of 21-4.
Northwestern last met UNC at last season's ITA Kickoff Weekend where the 'Cats fell to the Tar Heels 4-0.
Arizona State is 1-2 after falling to Texas State 1-6 and Texas A&M 2-5. The Sun Devils finished out last season 17-9 at No. 20. Northwestern and Arizona State are 1-1 all time in their meeting, and the last meeting between the two teams was in 2008.
Ohio State is 3-0 after a 4-0 win over Illinois. The 'Cats last met the Buckeyes at last season's Big Ten Championship where they would fall to Ohio State 0-4.
