EVANSTON, Ill.
 – No. 23 Northwestern starts the stretch run of Big Ten play with a rematch against Penn State on Sunday on the road. Tip-off is set for 11 a.m. CT on BTN+.

The Wildcats sit at 18-3 overall and 8-2 in the Big Ten, good for a second-place tie in the conference with Maryland. Iowa leads the league at 9-1.

The 'Cats faced Penn State two Sundays ago, winning 85-59 in Evanston behind 24 points from senior forward Abi Scheid, who went 6-6 from three.

Northwestern took care of business at home its last time out on Thursday night, defeating Michigan, 81-73. Junior guard Lindsey Pulliam led the way with a season-high 32 points, the second-best scoring output of her career. Senior center Abbie Wolf and Scheid each added double digits in scoring.

Head coach Joe McKeown earned his 200th career win at Northwestern against Michigan, and became just the second coach in program history to reach the milestone, after Don Perrelli did so from 1984 to 1999.

Scheid leads the country in three-point field goal percentage this season at 49.0 percent after going 3-3 from deep against the Wolverines. She is in contention for the single-season three-point percentage record at NU, set at 44.8 percent.

Sophomore guard Veronica Burton continues to lead the Big Ten in steals per game with 3.8 and ranks fifth in the nation. Pulliam rounds out a trio of statistical standouts for the 'Cats, leading the country in field goal attempts with 377.

As a team, Northwestern continues to excel at ball control metrics, leading the Big Ten and ranking fourth in the country in assist-to-turnover ratio with a mark of 1.50. The 'Cats rank in the top-25 nationally in assists per game (18.1), turnover margin (+6.7), and fewest personal fouls per game (14.2).

The Wildcats rank 14th in the latest RPI with a strength of schedule of 18. Penn State ranks 187 in RPI with a strength of schedule of 58.

The Nittany Lions are 7-14 overall this season with a 1-9 record in conference play. Their lone Big Ten win came at home to Michigan State.
