MEQUON, Wis. — Northwestern won its 10th game out of its last 12th contest with a 6-1 victory over Milwaukee on Tuesday at Kapco Park.

Parker Hanks, making his third-career start, was electric for Northwestern. He tied his career high with 5.0-innings pitched and set a career high mark with six strikeouts.

Hanks shut out the Panthers, allowing only two hits. In his three starts this season, he is 2-0 with a 1.38 ERA (2 ER/13.0 IP), only allowing seven hits over the appearances.

Jack Dunn went 2-for-3 with two runs scored, two RBI, a walk, and a double. He improved his batting average to a blistering .374.

Northwestern struck first off the bat of Casey O'Laughlin, who contributed a two-out, two-RBI single to put NU up, 2-0. The RBIs were his twelfth and thirteenth with two outs, the most on the squad.

The Wildcats tallied three runs in the seventh inning to double their lead over Milwaukee. Jack Dunn knocked in a pair with a double down the left field line, his 20th and 21st RBIs of the season, the second-most on the season. The next batter, Alex Erro, hit an RBI single to center field, scoring Jack Dunn, moving the score to 6-0.

Dunn has scored a run in eight-straight games and has scored a team-best 28 runs this season.

Senior Danny Katz came out of the bullpen and provided effective relief, tossing 4.0 innings and allowing only one run. He earned his first-career save.
