EVANSTON, Ill. – Winners of nine out of their last 11 games, Northwestern will travel to play the Milwaukee Panthers on Tuesday, April 9. The contest has been moved to Kapco Park and will now start at 6:30 p.m. CT.
The last time Northwestern played a road contest vs. Milwaukee was on April 24, 2013, at Miller Park, the home of the Milwaukee Brewers. The Panthers have made trips to Evanston in back-to-back years.
Kapco Park is the home of the Lakeshore Chinooks, the Northwoods League summer baseball team, as well as Concordia University Wisconsin. Northwestern infielder Jack Dunn played for the Chinooks in 2018, batting .316 and scoring 35 runs in 49 games. Dunn is batting .365 this season, the third-best mark in the Big Ten.
As a team, NU's .268 hitting percentage is the fifth-best mark in the Conference. The 'Cats have been active on the basepaths as their 45 stolen bases are tops in the Big Ten.
Northwestern has swept back-to-back series, including a Big Ten sweep over Ohio State in Columbus this weekend.
After the mid-week, NU will host Maryland for a three-game set at Rocky & Berenice Miller Park.
