EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern's women's tennis team returns home Saturday for a doubleheader at Combe Tennis Center. The Wildcats take on 22nd-ranked Washington at 11 a.m. prior to squaring off with Milwaukee at 4 p.m.

NU (3-3) is coming off a tough 4-3 defeat at Oregon last Saturday. The Wildcats remained undefeated in doubles play in surging out to an early lead while also getting singles wins from Maddie Lipp and Alex Chatt.

Northwestern's stellar doubles unit is paced by the nation's top-ranked team of Lipp and Erin Larner. The pairing of Chatt and Or provides the 'Cats with a solid 1-2 punch as they are ranked 12th nationally.

Lipp leads NU in singles with a No. 70 national ranking while Or is No. 83.

Washington is off to a 7-2 start to its season. The Huskies' roster features a pair of highly ranked players in singles as junior Stacey Fung is No. 11 and freshman Vanessa Wong is No. 36. The team's lone losses this season are to No. 8 Texas Tech and No. 9 Duke. Washington will play at Illinois on Sunday after facing the Wildcats.

Washington volunteer assistant coach Georgia Munns (nee Rose) was a four-time All-American at Northwestern from 2006-09.

Milwaukee (0-7) is still seeking its first victory of the season under the direction of first-year head coach Jason Potthoff. The Panthers are coming off a 4-3 loss at Northern Iowa last Saturday.

Northwestern is 4-1 all-time against Washington. This will be NU's first meeting with Milwaukee.
