Wildcats Wrap Up Road Swing at #7 Notre Dame Tuesday Night

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern men's soccer will wrap up a three-game road swing on Tuesday, Oct. 3 with a trip to take on No. 7 Notre Dame at 6 p.m. CT. The action at Alumni Stadium will be broadcasted on ACC Network Extra.
 
Northwestern (2-8-0) has enjoyed recent success against the Fighting Irish. The Wildcats hold a 4-1-4 mark against Notre Dame in their last nine meetings, including a 2-1 overtime victory over No. 2 Notre Dame at Toyota Park last season. Senior Mike Roberge scored the golden goal in the 94th minute off assists from Riley Kelliher and Elo Ozumba.
 
Sophomore Sean Lynch leads Northwestern with two goals and an assist.
 
Notre Dame (6-2-1) is unbeaten at Alumni Stadium this season with a 4-0-1 record. The Irish played No. 10 Virginia to a 1-1 draw last time out on Sept. 29. Jon Gallagher leads the Fighting Irish with six goals on the campaign, while Jeff Farina has 11 points on four goals and three assists.
 
Chris Hubbard has played and started in all nine games this season. He has 22 saves and owns a 0.75 goals against average.
 
Northwestern has one of the toughest schedules in the country this season. By the end of the year, Northwestern will have played four teams that have been ranked at No. 1 at one point in each of the four polls. Indiana, Maryland, Notre Dame and Michigan State have each spent time at No. 1. To this point of the campaign, Northwestern's slate ranks 18th in strength of schedule.
