B1G Championships Second Round Results 
FRENCH LICK, Ind. – Northwestern shaved three strokes off its first-round score at the 2012 Big Ten Championships in Saturday's second round at the Donald Ross Course. The 'Cats shot a 16-over 304 and are tied for sixth with Nebraska after a two-round total of 611 (+35).
Freshman Hana Lee (Hacienda Heights, Calif./Wilson) continues to lead the NU group of six. She shot a 3-over 75 Saturday, the same score as round one, and is tied for 14th at 6-over 150.
Fellow freshman Brittany May (Poway, Calif./Poway) and junior Anne Ormson (Granger, Ind./St. Joseph's) each improved a stroke in the second round, posting a 4-over 76. Both have an identical score of 9-over 153, tying for 23rd.
Sophomore Devon Brown (Rancho Santa Fe, Calif./Cathedral Catholic) and junior Lauren Weaver (Scottsdale, Ariz./Cactus Shadows) are tied for 36th at 13-over 157. Brown posted a second-round score of 6-over 78 while Weaver had a 7-over 79.
Senior Alex Lederhausen (Hinsdale, Ill./Hinsdale Central) had the biggest improvement for the Wildcats in the second round, shaving six strokes off her first round total. She shot a 5-over 77 and is tied for 47th at 16-over 160.
NU and Nebraska are seven strokes behind Illinois and Purdue who are both tied for fourth (604). The 'Cats have a sizable eight-stroke lead on eighth-place Minnesota (619) and nine-stroke advantage on ninth-place Iowa (620). Michigan State leads the 12-team field at 14-over 590 while Ohio State is second at 19-over 595.
The final round of the 2012 Big Ten Championships begins tomorrow at 7 a.m. CT.
