Tyler joined Northwestern in January 2017. He is responsible for overseeing the health care of the Men's Soccer Team, in addition to supporting the athletic training staff and management of the Kaufman Family Athletic Training Room as a supervisor since September
2024.

Tyler is a graduate of Michigan State University where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training and a minor in Health Promotion. He received his Master’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Oregon. Tyler came to Northwestern after spending two seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

His professional interests include osteopathic manual medicine and its use in a global approach towards body synergy, along with movement screening and sports science geared toward prevention of injuries and improving athletic performance.

Tyler is a native of Traverse City, Michigan, currently residing in Deerfield, Illinois with his partner, Steph, and two children, Henrik and Keller. He enjoys trying to keep up with his kids through all of their endeavors, anything to do with the outdoors, and spending time with friends
and family in any arena.
