Rick returned to Northwestern in August 2024 having previously been an athletic training student here in 2020. He is responsible for managing the health care of the Football team.
Rick is a graduate of University of Illinois-Chicago, where he earned a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. He received his Master’s degree from North Park University in Athletic Training. After finishing his clinical immersion with the Wildcats in 2021, Rick had a
short stint with the Dallas Cowboys as a summer athletic training intern. He then spent the rest of 2021 as an assistant athletic trainer for Army West Point Football before working with Men's Rugby in 2022. He was also an assistant athletic trainer at Loyola University Chicago providing care for their men’s soccer team from 2022 to 2024.
His professional interests include emergency medicine, soft tissue interventions, as well as return-to-play progression. Rick holds certification with NSCA as a certified strength and conditioning specialist.
The native from Taipei, Taiwan, currently resides in Skokie, IL, with his wife, Kelly, and their dog, Maki.
