Natalie Jakubczak joined Northwestern Athletics in July 2024 as the Assistant Director of Human Resources. She will assist in managing all aspects of the employee life cycle for 225-plus full-time staff and a high volume of temporary staff, interns and volunteers. Among her major responsibilities in a fast-paced and growing Human Resources function, Jakubczak will be providing day-to-day oversight of administrative and operational functions for the Human Resources office to support the Department of Athletics and Recreation, inclusive of designated areas and special projects.
Prior to Northwestern, Jakubczak worked at the Career Center of the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign as a Career Services Paraprofessional from November 2022 until May 2024, where she conducted personalized resume, cover letter, and LinkedIn reviews for over 200 students. She also hosted interactive workshops on networking, career fair preparation, career exploration, and resume writing, was involved in multiple registered student organizations such as the Human Resources and Psychology Organization (HRPO), and the Society of Women in Public Affairs (SWPA).
Jakubczak’s job training includes an internship at Amazon in 2023 where she managed a team of 50-200 associates, conducted performance evaluations, created a standard operating procedure documenting best practices, step-by-step workflows, and protocols to ensure consistent operation across multiple departments. Her project targeted loss prevention and quality control standards for the corporate giant.
Jakubczak graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2024 with a degree in Organizational Psychology and minors in Business, Leadership Studies, and Communication.
A native of Chicago, Ill., Jakubczak enjoys drawing, painting, and listening to all kinds of music (especially EDM) among her hobbies.
