Kelly joined Northwestern in December of 2023. She is responsible for managing the health care of the field hockey team. Additionally, she organizes the emergency preparedness efforts of the department, including staff education and training in emergency scenarios.

Kelly is a graduate of Michigan State University, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in athletic training. She received her Master’s degree in Health Education from Boston University, and holds an advanced graduate certificate in Orthopaedics from A.T. Still University. Kelly came to Northwestern from Princeton University where she served as an Assistant Head Athletic Trainer, working predominantly with the baseball, field hockey, and swimming and diving programs. She was responsible for staff and clinic oversight, departmental emergency preparedness efforts, and policy and procedure development, and implementation for a department that supported 30+ varsity sports across
multiple facilities. 

In addition to her athletic training responsibilities, Kelly contributed to Princeton's COVID-19 response as the Lead Clinical Coordinator. She coordinated a team of contact tracers, managed risk assessments, implemented policies and procedures, and ensured compliance with rapidly evolving health guidelines from 2020-2021.

Her professional interests include emergency preparedness, emergency medicine, manual therapy, and upper extremity rehabilitation. Kelly holds certifications in Myofascial Decompression, Blood Flow Restriction Training, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
