Gabe Donatelli joined Northwestern Athletics as Assistant Director of Business Operations in January 2024. He is originally from Scotch Plains, New Jersey.
Donatelli is a December 2023 graduate from Penn State University with a bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a concentration in Sports Marketing. Before Donatelli’s appointment with Northwestern, he served in various roles within sports. Most recently, while attending Penn State University, Donatelli served as an Operations and Facilities Assistant at Beaver Stadium, overseeing many stadium operational functions including security and stadium setup. Donatelli also assisted Learfield at Penn State as a game day assistant by hosting corporate partners, working closely with game day activations, and enhancing partners’ viewing experiences.
Beginning in 2021, Donatelli worked in Sports Information for Penn State Harrisburg Athletics. He then went on to intern for Seton Hall Athletics, while assisting in duties with marketing, licensing, donor relations, equipment, and recruitment. Donatelli also served as an intern for the United States Golf Association as a ticketing customer service and guest experience representative for the Men's and Women’s US Open. He also serves a non-profit organization known as the Shady Rest Country Club. The group has a goal to bring awareness and restore the first black-owned country club in America. Donatelli has served as a board member of the organization for many years.
