Ed Martig

Ed Martig joined Northwestern’s Department of Athletics and Recreation in February 2004. He is responsible for oversight of the Norris Aquatics Center and the Northwestern Beach. He also oversees Northwestern’s group and private swim lesson programs and is the event manager for the Northwestern swim meets.
Prior to his time at Northwestern, Martig served as the manager of Evergreen Aqua Park, a private outdoor swimming facility located just outside the City of Chicago.
Martig graduated from Eastern Illinois University in 2002 with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation Administration, and earned a Master of Science in Recreation, Sport, and Tourism in 2003 at the University of Illinois.
He resides in Deerfield with his wife and two children.
