Five ’Cats Named ILWomen Nike Lacrosse All-Americans

BALTIMORE — Five members of the Northwestern roster received ILWomen Nike Lacrosse All-American honors, Inside Lacrosse announced on Friday. The list was selected by Inside Lacrosse staff before the NCAA Tournament.
Senior attacker Madison Taylor headlined the list with a first team selection. Graduate student goalkeeper Jenika Cuocco picked up a second team nod. Junior midfielder Noel Cumberland collected third team honors. Redshirt junior defender Jaylen Rosga and redshirt sophomore defender Madison Smith were named honorable mention All-Americans.
A three-time Tewaaraton Award finalist, Taylor has recorded 92 goals, 124 points, 19 ground balls, 17 caused turnovers and 54 draw controls this year. She is 15 points away from Izzy Scane's Wildcat career record of 483 points.
Cuocco, the 2026 Big Ten Tournament Most Outstanding Player, set the program single-season saves record in Northwestern's double-overtime NCAA Quarterfinal win over Colorado (174). She boasts a 50.9% save percentage in 2026.
Cumberland, who fired home the golden goal in NU's double-overtime win over Colorado on May 14, has recorded 21 goals, seven assists, 12 ground balls, two caused turnovers and 10 draw controls in 2026.
Rosga has excelled as a takeaway defender this year, amassing 23 ground balls and 22 caused turnovers in her second season with the program.
A specialist in the draw circle, Smith has doubled as a stout defensive piece. She has racked up 30 ground balls, 22 caused turnovers and 113 draw controls in 2026. Smith is the first player in program history to post 100+ draw controls and 15+ caused turnovers in a single season.
The Wildcats will face No. 4 seed Johns Hopkins in the NCAA semifinals on Friday, May 22, at Northwestern Medicine Field at Martin Stadium.
