EVANSTON, Ill. - Northwestern women's tennis announced the addition of Margot Phanthala to its roster on Thursday. The first-year will join the Wildcats out of Paris, France, ahead of the 2025-26 season.

"We can't wait to have Margot join our program," said head coach Claire Pollard. "She brings a solid foundation and a hunger and ambition to test herself at the highest level. She has competed worldwide while staying dedicated to her academics, and will use college to prepare her for a life as a professional tennis player. She is going to make an immediate impact."

Phanthala has already seen action on some of the biggest stages, with appearances at three French Opens, an Australian Open and Wimbledon on her juniors resumé. She'll join the Wildcats alongside Marelie Raath in Pollard's incoming first-year class this fall.
