Annual ‘Kits, ‘Cats and Kids Block Party Returns to Lazier Field on September 4

Northwestern Athletics and Recreation proudly announces that the 'Kits, 'Cats and Kids Block Party, a highly anticipated yearly event, will once again be held in Evanston. This year's event will be held on Thursday, September 4 from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. CT at Evanston Township High School's (ETHS) Lazier Field (2285 Church Street, Evanston, IL 60201).
The Block Party is free and open to all members of the community. Free refreshments from C&W Market will be available while supplies last, along with local favorites providing food for purchase, including La Cocinita, Soul & Smoke, MLS Hot Dogs, Rainbow Cone, and Cookies with Flavor.
Lawn games, music, activity booths, arts and crafts, and inflatables will be available to all attendees at no cost. Marcus Brown from D.I.M.E. (Dance is My Everything) will return as the event's DJ and MC. Guests will enjoy performances from the ETHS Choir and the Northwestern University and ETHS Marching Bands. Featured guest speakers from across the Northwestern, ETHS, District 65, and City of Evanston communities will also address the community during the event.
The 'Kits, 'Cats and Kids Block Party is sponsored by the City of Evanston, Northwestern's Office of Neighborhood and Community Relations, Northwestern's Department of Athletics and Recreation, ETHS, District 65, and the Northwestern/D65 and Northwestern/ETHS Partnership Offices.
