PISCATAWAY, N.J —  No. 3 Northwestern (10-2, 4-0) looks to stay perfect in Big Ten play as it travels to Piscataway, New Jersey, to face Rutgers (8-5, 2-2) on Sunday, April 6. The matchup is set for noon CT (1 p.m. ET) at SHI Stadium and will stream live on B1G+.

The Wildcats are coming off one of their most dominant performances of the season, an 18-5 road win over No. 4 Johns Hopkins on Thursday night. Northwestern shut out the Blue Jays in the second half, won the draw battle 19-7, and saw nine different players score—including three with hat tricks. The victory extended Northwestern's Big Ten win streak to 10 games and marked its second 12-plus goal win over a top-four opponent this season.

Graduate goalkeeper Delaney Sweitzer made six saves in the win, while redshirt sophomore Francesca Argentieri stopped all five shots she faced in the fourth quarter. Senior Jane Hansen added two ground balls and two caused turnovers, and Samantha White contributed across the field with a goal, an assist and three ground balls.

The Wildcats currently lead the Big Ten standings and are the only undefeated team in conference play. They boast the nation's No. 4 scoring offense (16.42 goals per game) and are top five nationally in both draw controls per game (17.42) and draw control percentage (.643). Senior Sam Smith leads the team with 85 draw controls this season and has recorded 12 or more in each of her last two games.

On the offensive end, sophomore Madison Taylor continues to pace the Wildcats with a national-best 4.92 goals per game. She ranks second in total goals (59) and leads the country in free position goals per game (2.08). Taylor has scored at least three goals in all but one game this season, including six games with six or more goals.

Northwestern owns an 18-1 all-time record against Rutgers, with the lone loss coming in the 2022 Big Ten Tournament. The Wildcats won the most recent meeting 22-11 last season in Evanston, behind a five-point performance from Taylor. Northwestern is 10-0 at home and 7-1 on the road in the series.

Rutgers enters the weekend at 8-5 overall and 2-2 in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights own conference wins over Oregon and No. 21 Ohio State, but have dropped matchups to Penn State (12-10) and Johns Hopkins (17-6).

Northwestern claimed a 16-6 victory in its last trip to Piscataway and will look to continue its dominance in the series and remain unbeaten in Big Ten competition.
