EVANSTON, Ill. – No. 3 Northwestern (5-1) heads back on the road for a matchup against Marquette (4-1) on Friday, March 7, at 5 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on FloCollege from Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Friday's game marks the 10th all-time meeting between Northwestern and Marquette, with the Wildcats holding a undefeated 9-0 record in the series. The last time the two teams faced off, Northwestern secured a 21-3 victory at home. In every matchup, the Wildcats have won by a margin of at least seven goals. The most recent game in Milwaukee in 2023 ended in a 21-14 win for Northwestern.

Marquette comes into the game with a 2-0 home record, with their only loss this season coming against No. 8 Michigan in Ann Arbor. The Golden Eagles are led by senior attacker Meg Birely, who has netted 21 goals so far this season.

The Wildcats enter the weekend fresh off a key 12-8 victory over No. 6 Syracuse last Tuesday. Eight different Wildcats contributed to the scoreboard, with junior attacker Madison Taylor leading the charge with five goals, including a third-quarter hat trick. This marks her 17th consecutive game with at least three or more goals. Senior midfielder Sam Smith dominated in the draw circle, securing a season-high 10 draw controls to maintain possession for Northwestern.

Defensively, graduate transfer Delaney Sweitzer stood strong in the net, posting seven saves against her former team, helping Northwestern secure the win. Jane Hansen applied relentless pressure on Syracuse, recording six caused turnovers and picking up four ground balls. For her performance, Hansen was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. The sixth-year defender from Cohasset, Mass., tied for the second-most caused turnovers in a single game in program history, matching Claire Quinn's six against Johns Hopkins on March 30, 2017.

Northwestern continues to top national stats, ranking 3rd in the NCAA for draw percentage (.689), 7th in the NCAA for draw controls (111), and 5th in the nation for scoring offense (16.5 goals per game). Madison Taylor leads the NCAA in goals (31), points (42), and free position goals per game (2.33).

The opening draw for Friday's matchup is set for 5 p.m. in Milwaukee. Tune in live on FloCollege for the action.
