Big Ten Unveils Volleyball's 2025 Home and Road Opponents

EVANSTON, Ill. – The Big Ten Conference unveiled home and road opponents for the 2025 volleyball season on Thursday, revealing Northwestern's rotation for the upcoming season. The 'Cats will host ten opponents in Evanston and visit ten schools as part of the 20-match conference schedule.
At home, the Wildcats will welcome in five 2024 NCAA Tournament teams. The group includes Wisconsin, who is fresh off an Elite 8 appearance, Oregon, which made a Sweet 16 appearance, and Minnesota, who won its first-round matchup in the tournament. The Wildcats also host the rival Fighting Illini at Welsh-Ryan Arena for an interstate clash.
On the road, the 'Cats will head to Happy Valley to face the defending national champion Penn State Nittany Lions. Northwestern will also visit the Nebraska Cornhuskers, who made it to the Final Four, and the Purdue Boilermakers, who are fresh off a Sweet 16 appearance. The 'Cats will make their first visit to the California schools as conference foes, set to face UCLA and USC in Los Angeles.
Northwestern will play Illinois, Iowa and Indiana twice apiece - once each at home and on the road.
Set to begin his second season at the helm, Northwestern head volleyball coach Tim Nollan has already bolstered his roster for next season with the additions of transfers Campbell Paris and Beste Ayhan.
Dates and times for conference matches will be announced at a later date, as will Northwestern's non-conference schedule.
