‘Cats, Flyers set for 2 p.m. CT tip-off at Welsh-Ryan Arena
EVANSTON, Ill. (October 31, 2025) – Ahead of raising the curtain on its 2025-26 regular season slate, Northwestern will welcome Division II foe Lewis to Welsh-Ryan Arena on Saturday in a 2 p.m. CT tip-off.  Admission will be free of charge and the matchup will air on B1G+.

Preparing to begin his 18th and final season at Northwestern, head coach Joe McKeown returns 10 letterwinners from 2024-25. That group includes Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Conference selection Caroline Lau, who dished out 6.0 assists per game last season en route to becoming the first Wildcat to lead the Big Ten in assists since Ashley Deary (2016-17).

Grace Sullivan will look to build off an impressive debut campaign with the 'Cats. Sullivan, who spent the first two years of her career at Bucknell University, appeared in all 27 games last season on the way to averaging 10.1 points per game. The Antioch, Ill. native shot just over 50 percent from the field, while reaching double figures in scoring 17 times.

McKeown welcomed in a pair of graduate transfers to his roster over the offseason, adding Tate Lash and DaiJa Turner. Lash was a three-time All-Southern Conference pick during her time at Furman University, where she averaged 11.4 points and 4.1 assists across 111 career appearances with the Paladins. Turner makes her way to Evanston following a four-year stint at TCU. During her time in the Lone Star State, she appeared in 34 contests and was a member of a Horned Frogs squad that made the program's first NCAA Elite Eight appearance in program history last season.

Following a decorated career with the Northwestern lacrosse program, Sammy White will join the 'Cats as a graduate student for the 2025-26 campaign. A two-time All-Big Ten pick during her lacrosse career, White was a member of the 1,000-point club at Dulaney High School, a feat she accomplished in just three varsity seasons. During her junior campaign, she averaged 23 points per game.

Rounding out the Wildcat roster will be at trio of first-years in Angelina Hodgens, Amparo López, and Sandra Moreno. Out of Staten Island, N.Y., Hodgens was a two-time team captain at St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School, while López and Moreno make their way stateside from Spain, where they featured for Valencia B.C. and Basket Almeda, respectively.
