'Cats Continue Road Trip at No. 41 Illinois

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - No. 37 Northwestern will look to preserve their perfect Big Ten record this weekend as they head to Champaign to take on the No. 41 Fighting Illini in Champaign. First serve on Saturday in Champaign is scheduled for 4 p.m. at Atkins Tennis Center.
The Wildcats (13-3, 4-0 B1G) are on a five-match win streak that has included wins over three ranked conference opponents. Most recently, they defeated both Nebraska and then-No. 75 Iowa on the road last weekend.
They will face off against an 11-6 (3-1 B1G) Illinois squad this weekend. The Fighting Illini are 3-1 over their last four matches of Big Ten play, beating Maryland, Rutgers and Nebraska and falling to Iowa. The Illini's roster features the nation's No. 47 doubles duo in Megan Heuser and Alice Xu. Last time the two teams met, Illinois edged out a tight 4-3 victory in Evanston.
Following this weekend's action, the 'Cats will return home to continue conference action against No. 29 Wisconsin on Friday. They'll put their 8-0 home record to the test against the Badgers, with first serve scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
