EVANSTON, Ill. - Bowling Green defeated Northwestern, 3-0 to take home the Lakeside Classic title.
The Wildcats had possession for 51 percent of the game and took a total of nine shots, including four on target but it was not enough to comeback to. defeat the Falcons.
"We never quit. Even though it was 3-0, I don't think our guys quit. There was a lot of good energy and we worked hard which was something we didn't have the night before. At the end of the day, it wasn't enough," said head coach Tim Lenahan.
Chicago's Big Ten Team moves to 1-3 on the season but looks to bounce back on Thursday, Sept.12 as they travel to Macomb, Ill. to take on Western Illinois.
