'Cats Battle Nebraska, 3-0

EVANSTON, IL – Northwestern battled against #3 Nebraska before falling in a thrilling three set match on Saturday evening in Welsh-Ryan arena.
The Wildcats were led by first-year Temi Thomas-Ailara who tallied 16 kills for her 11th consecutive double-digit game. Juniors Alana Walker and Nia Robinson came up with big points for the 'Cats to help swing momentum and challenge the Cornhuskers through all three sets.
Northwestern started the game strong, taking a 4-0 lead on the Huskers. The two teams traded leads before Nebraska took the first set 25-21.
In a similar fashion, the 'Cat started the second set claiming the first two points. Nebraska tied it up and led by no more than two points for most of the set before claiming set two, 25-17.
Chicago's Big Ten Team took the Nebraska to the wire in the third set, with 16 lead changes, before falling 30-28.
The Wildcats will be back on the court October 4 to take on Purdue in West Lafayette, IN.
