'Cats Travel to No. 2 Vanderbilt for Sunday Showdown

EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 12 Northwestern heads to Nashville, Tennessee, on Sunday, Feb.3, to face the No. 2 Vanderbilt at 1 p.m. CT.

The Wildcats look to continue their hot streak after claiming back-to-back ranked wins last time out at the ITA Kick-Off Weekend. Northwestern defeated No. 22 UCF and No. 17 Miami at home to punch its ticket to the ITA National Indoor Team Championships for the first time since 2014.
Vanderbilt (2-0) has two of the top-10 ranked singles players in the nation, including No. 1 Astra Sharma. The Commodores host North Carolina in dual action on Saturday before taking on the Wildcats.
Northwestern topped Vanderbilt in the last dual match between the two programs, knocking off the No. 7 ranked Commodores, 4-2, in Evanston on Feb. 23, 2018. The 'Cats are 3-7 all-time against Vanderbilt.
Northwestern is 3-1 in dual matches this season, only falling at No. 16 Kansas on Jan. 20.
