EVANSTON, Ill. — No. 19 Northwestern (8-4, 3-4 Big Ten) travels to the state of Indiana for duals at No. 22 Purdue (8-6, 2-5 Big Ten) on Friday and at Indiana (6-9, 0-8 Big Ten) on Sunday, looking to close out the season with momentum going into the Big Ten Championships.
The match at Purdue will be aired on BTN, beginning at 6:00 p.m. CT, and the match at Indiana will be streamed on BTN Plus via BTN2Go at 12:00 p.m. CT.
MACKEY MAYHEM
Friday night's dual will be held at Mackey Arena, Purdue's basketball gym.
PRIOR RETURNS
No. 19 Johnny Sebastian (174) extended his winning streak to seven matches in Northwestern's visit to No. 7 Iowa last Sunday, topping Kaleb Young via 9-4 decision.
NU has notched victories in two duals against ranked opponents this season, defeating No. 16 Wisconsin on Jan. 12 and No. 14 Minnesota on Jan. 28.
HASN'T BEEN LONG
Purdue and Northwestern are wrestling for the second time in as many seasons. The two squads battled on Jan. 18, 2017, with the Boilermakers picking up a narrow, 20-16, victory.
NU has won three of its last four visits to West Lafayette, Indiana, dating back to 2005.
WRAPPING UP
Following these two matches, Chicago's Big Ten Team will wrestle irs regular season finale against SIUE on Feb. 18. This will be their first meeting since Dec. 13, 2015.
To conclude the season, the Big Ten Championships will be held in East Lansing, Michigan, on March 3-4, while the NCAA Championships are set for March 15-17 in Cleveland, Ohio.
