EVANSTON, Ill. – #25 Northwestern (6-1, 1-1 Big Ten) will return home and welcome #16 Wisconsin (4-0, 1-0 Big Ten) to historic Patten Gymnasium on Friday evening in a match set for 7 p.m. CT.

PRIOR RETURNS
The 'Cats won five bouts against Illinois on Sunday in a match that Northwestern dropped, 17-16. Sebastian Rivera, Colin Valdiviez, Ryan Deakin, Johnny Sebastian and Regis Durbin each picked up victories on the afternoon.

Rivera (125) handled #15 Travis Piotrowski to pick up his third ranked win of the season. The redshirt first-year improved to 17-1 on the season.

In the next bout, Valdiviez (133) faced off against #20 Dylan Duncan for the second time in as many weeks, notching the first ranked win of his young career with a come-from-behind, 12-6 win.

At 149, Deakin continued his winning ways with a dominating 13-0 win, moving to 21-3 on the campaign. Sebastian (174) followed suit with a victory by major decision to tally his 17th win of the season.

Durbin (197) had a tremendous impact in his first dual appearance of the season. His decision over Andre Lee gave Chicago's Big Ten Team a two-point lead heading into the final bout.

RANKING RUMBLINGS
In the most recent Intermat ranking, four Wildcats are listed among the top in the nation. Ryan Deakin leads the way in fourth place, while Sebastian Rivera is in 10th. Johnny Sebastian and Colin Valdiviez have both entered the Intermat ranking for the first time, both now at 18th.

Northwestern was ranked 25th in the most recent NWCA/USA TODAY Coaches' Poll. This is the first time NU has been ranked since November 2015.

SUPER SEBASTIAN
Redshirt first year Sebastian Rivera (125 lbs.) has started his debut season at a scorching clip, currently sitting on a 17-1 record. The last Wildcat grapplers to win at least 17 of their first 18 bouts were Pierce Harger (17 wins) and Jason Tsirtsis (18 wins) in the 2014-15 season. Rivera boasts wins over three of the top 20 wrestlers in his weight class, with his only loss coming to #2 Nick Suriano.
