EVANSTON, Ill. – Northwestern dropped a 2-0 decision to No. 1 Indiana Sunday afternoon at Martin Stadium.
Indiana (5-0-2, 1-0-2 B1G) scored a goal in the 10th minute and never looked back. Northwestern (1-6-0, 0-3-0 B1G) had quality chances in the contest, finishing with five of its eight shots on net.

Ty Seager was responsible for four of Northwestern's eight shots. He nearly opened the scoring for the home side in the 5th minute when he latched onto a long through ball near the edge of the Hoosiers' box. Indiana goalkeeper Trey Muse came out of his goal to make the save and keep the contest goalless.

Chicago's Big Ten Team had another great chance in the 8th minute when John Moderwell met a bouncing ball on the left side of the box. His well-struck volley appeared goal-bound but was blocked by a defender six yards out.

Indiana added its second goal of the afternoon in the 64th minute.

Seager again nearly put the Wildcats on the board in the 85th minute when he ripped a shot to the near post that was turned away and Ben Miller came in on the loose ball with another shot on net that was saved.

First-year goalkeeper Miha Miskovic matched his career high with five saves.

Northwestern will take a break from conference play when it welcomes UIC to Martin Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 20 for a 7 p.m. CT contest.
