EVANSTON, Ill. – The 25th-ranked Northwestern Wildcats travel downstate to Champaign, Ill. for ITA Kick-Off Weekend, which begins tomorrow afternoon. Northwestern is set to face off against No. 24 Tulsa at 2 p.m. at the Atkins Tennis Center on the campus of the University of Illinois.

The teams compete in hopes of taking on the winner of the No. 7 Illinois vs. No. 36 Notre Dame match, which will take place following the conclusion of the opener. The team that escapes unscathed through the weekend gets the opportunity to travel to Charlottesville, Va. for the ITA National Indoor Championships in February.

Northwestern is coming off an impressive opening weekend of its 2016 season after sweeping Louisville and Chicago State in an away-home doubleheader. The 'Cats left Kentucky with a 4-0 victory over the 36th-ranked Cardinals and returned home to claim another 4-0 win against Chicago State.

The Wildcats will face good competition in a Tulsa opponent who is coming off a win against No. 21 Cal.
