
Northwestern Hosts Iowa in Dual Meet Action

EVANSTON, Ill. — Northwestern will host Big Ten foe Iowa this Saturday at 11 a.m. CT for its ninth dual meet of the season.
The Wildcats are coming off a strong showing in a narrow 166-132 loss against Notre Dame last Saturday.
Carter Page performed exceptionally well with first place finishes in the 500 free and 1000 free, which earned him Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors for the second time in his career. Anthony Marcantonio also had a stellar meet with first place finishes in the 200 free and 200 IM, with his 200 free registering as the team's fastest time (1:39.52) all season.
Andrew Cramer swept the diving events against Notre Dame with first place finishes in the 1 and 3 meter. Cramer will hope to keep his impressive season going against Iowa, as he has been the best diver in 6 of 9 dual meets this season.
The Wildcats are 3-6 so far this season in dual meets with wins over Denison, UIC, and University of Chicago, while Iowa boasts a 1-2 mark in dual meets with its lone win coming against Michigan Sate. Iowa's 400-medley relay team currently holds the 27th fastest time in the country the season.
Northwestern will be showcasing its young talent on Saturday, as coach Jarod Schroeder plans to swim 10 freshmen in the meet. The Wildcats will honor two seniors on Saturday, Van Donkersgoed and Grant Halsall, before the race.
