
Four Wildcats Claim Victory at SIU-E

EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. – Northwestern picked up falls from Garrison White and Dominick Malone and won four matches overall on Sunday at SIU-Edwardsville.
White (125) and Malone (133) each pinned their respective opponent in the first period with White's coming in 2:41 over Joe Antonelli and Malone's in 2:58 over Dakota Leach. Malone improved to 9-1 on the season and has won six matches by fall.
Jameson Oster (141) and Mitch Sliga (174) also picked up wins for the Wildcats with Oster posting a 9-3 decision over John Muldoon and Sliga winning 7-1 over Clayton Bass. Sliga has won five matches in a row.
Northwestern lost to the Cougars, 28-18, on the heels of three forfeits. In bouts that were contested, the Wildcats outscored SIU-e, 18-10.
Sunday's match closed the 2015 nonconference slate for Chicago's Big Ten Team. Northwestern heads into Big Ten competition on Friday, Dec. 18 with a home dual vs. Ohio State at Welsh-Ryan Arena at 7 p.m.
