SUMMARY:
The Northwestern field hockey team dropped its final regular season conference match up to the University of Iowa, 1-0 in Iowa City. A first half goal by Gina Carr is all Iowa would need as they improved their record to 11-7 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten. Northwestern fell to 6-12, 2-4 in the conference.
This was the last regular season game for both teams as they will travel to Phyllis Ocker Field in Ann Arbor, Mich. for next weekend's Big Ten Tournament (Nov. 3-5).
Iowa received the No. 3 seed and will face sixth-seeded Michigan State on Nov. 3 at noon. Northwestern is the five seed and is matched against fourth-seeded Ohio State. The match will be contested at 2 p.m.
