Women's Volleyball Falls to Wisconsin, 3-1

EVANSTON, Ill. - Despite another outstanding effort from Jennifer Zagorski, the Northwestern women's volleyball team fell to Wisconsin, 3-1, in Madison Friday night. Game scores were 6-15, 15-10, 15-5, 15-11.

NU fell to 3-24 (1-16 Big Ten), while the Badgers improved to 20-8 (13-5 Big Ten).

Playing a spirited game, the Wildcats stunned Wisconsin by controlling the first game. The 'Cats then hung around in Game 2 and Game 4 before succumbing.

Zagorski had 12 kills and also added 20 digs for her 12th double-double of the campaign. She also had a service ace and a block assist. Carmen Burbach added 12 kills, as well, and added nine digs. Kelli Meyer had 42 assists.

For Wisconsin, Jenny Maastricht had 16 kills and 13 digs, while Sherisa Livingston had 16 kills, Kelly Kennedy had 14 and Allyson Ross added 11.

Northwestern will be back in action Saturday night at Purdue.
