Former Northwestern sabreist AG Gomez-Shah begins their fifth season as Director of Operations with the Northwestern University fencing program in 2025-26. Shah, a two-time Northwestern graduate, assists in facilitating team travel and managing the program's budget. They also serve as the event coordinator for both the Remenyik ROC/RJCC and the Schiller Duals, a pair of multi-day events hosted annually inside Ryan Fieldhouse.

A three-time NCAA qualifier during their Wildcat career (2013-17), Gomez-Shah joined the Northwestern fencing staff on a part-time basis in May of 2018. Since rejoining the 'Cats, they have been part of a staff that has mentored in the development of 15 All-Americans and helped Northwestern to three conference championships, in addition to five top-10 team finishes at the NCAA Championships.

Gomez-Shah is also involved across campus, having served as Co-Chair on the Northwestern Department of Athletics and Recreation's Education and Engagement Committee since September of 2023.  The group works to identify and execute goals in alignment with the department's inclusion statement, emphasizing community education and engagement.

A native of Wayne, N.J., Gomez-Shah received their bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2017 before earning their master's in Higher Education Administration and Policy from Northwestern in 2020.
