Hannah Nielsen (Women's Lacrosse, 2006-09)
A three-time IWLCA first-team All-American and two-time Tewaaraton Trophy winner, Hannah Nielsen is Northwestern's all-time leader in points and assists while graduating as the sixth-best goal scorer in school history.
Nielsen's domination of the sport as a junior and senior led to back-to-back years in which she won the Tewaaraton Trophy, earned the Lacrosse Honda Sports Award, and named the IWCLA, WomensLax.com and Womenslacrosse.com National Player of the Year. She also was named the American Lacrosse Conference Player of the Year in each of those seasons. In 2008, she won the Big Ten's Female Athlete of the Year Award.
Nielsen won four NCAA championships during her time at Northwestern and went a combined 82-3 with the Wildcats. She was the career assist leader in NCAA Championship play at the conclusion of her career, still ranks second all-time in the NCAA for career points and remains the single-season and career NCAA assist leader.
